National Arbor Day 2006

Do you know what day April 28, 2006 is? Yes, it's a Friday, but it's also NATIONAL ARBOR DAY! National Arbor Day is observed on the last Friday of April, and because it's a day set aside to plant trees, it's Plank's favorite holiday. If you don't plant a tree, Plank will be angry with you. However, if for whatever reason, you can't plant a tree for National Arbor Day (perhaps because your state actually observes Arbor Day on a different date), it is still possible to appease Plank.

The First Church of Plank is looking for artwork and writing in honor of this occasion. Participants will recieve a special "I Appeased Plank" blinkie.

If you want to participate in the festivities, please follow the guidelines below:

1. Your pic or writing must show the joy of planting trees or simply the joy trees themselves bring. Plank doesn't have to be directly involved, but it's preferred if he is.
2. The usual content rules apply. This is a happy time of year for Plank, so try not to upset him with stuff he might find questnionable. You know what I mean. (If not, go back and look at my guidelines for fanfic and fan art).
3. Since I'm going to try to put everything on the same page (Try!), I'd like images to be 500x500 pixels or less. Poetry will be on the same page as well, but longer stories will be linked to. That certainly doesn't mean you can't write them though!
4. Mention that you're sending stuff for Arbor Day in the e-mail subject
