About
Gash Bell (or Zatch Bell as he is known in the English dub) is a demon
child from the anime and manga Konjiki
No Gash!! He's a cute little guy with an insanely cheerful
personality. Typically, he wants nothing more than to eat yellowtail
fish, play in the park, and make friends with everyone he meets, but
life isn't all fun and games.
He is one of 100 demons sent to Earth to fight for the rulership of
their world. When he landed on Earth, he had no memory of what life was
like before, but the other demons remember him as a weakling, but
that's since changed.
Each demon has incredible powers that can only be released when a human
partner reads from a magic spellbook. Gash has lightning powers and
with the help of his human partner Takamini Kiyamoro, he's getting
stronger and stronger.
Once, Gash befriended a kind demon girl named Kolulu who didn't want to
fight even though that's what she was sent to Earth to do. A more
monster-like side that wanted to do nothing but fight took over and
challenged Gash to battle, but he helped her remember who she was and
that he was her friend. Kolulu sacrificed herself so she would no
longer have to fight. But before she did so, she told Gash that their
world would be better off with a kind-hearted king and he promised that
he would do his best to win the battle.
Despite Gash's new-found strength and confidence, fufulling that
promise is not going to be easy.
